October-January

The days are getting shorter and the water is cooling off. The water temps in October will dip to the low 70′s. This will turn on the bite for the adult red drum or redfish. Fun to catch and extremely hard fighters, these fish grow to sizes above 45 inches or over 30lbs! These fish are catch and release only, as all of the fish we catch are the breeding adults. A 4-6hr trip is all you need to catch these giants. If you are looking to catch fish for the dinner table, a longer 6-8hr trip is needed to get offshore and target the bottom feeding fish such as grouper, triggerfish, vermilion snapper, and an occasional cobia.
